We're there!

Saturday October 1st 2011, marking a new era in Freemasonry in Hinckley, the first phase of our newly renovated building is up and running and hosting the first event.
The Lodge of St. Simon & St. Jude held it's Ladies Night in the function suite last night and it was for many reasons a "night to remember". The Master of the Lodge, who was also the contractor, Rick Morris, put on agreat night for his Lady, Elaine and for all of the 128 who attended. Our new caterer, Neil Green and his staff, put on a great meal, well presented and served by great staff, surely a sign of the service we will be receiving at our Festive Boards and other social functions.
A few photographs from the evening are included here and all involved will receive a link later to view the whole set of informal photos from this great night! If you have any you wish to be included post your details on this blog.

Progress shots - Thursday 25th August

Rick "on top of the job" tools of the trade in hand!

Been down to the hall again this morning to check on progress. The brick work on the front & rear elevations of the first floor are almost complete and the roofing guys are on-site. Inside the plasterers have done much of the work , new windows are in place.
In order to allow more work to continue, we have to move a large amount of equipment from the ground floor to storage. This is happening this coming Monday (Aug. 29th) from 10am - yes we know it is the Bank Holiday - but we need your help. Any members who are available are urged to turn up at 10am on Monday, the more the better - remember - many hands make light work. It will also give you an opportunity to view the progress for yourself.
